Stained glass is a work of decorative art of a pictorial or ornamental nature designed for through lighting and intended to fill an opening, most often a window, in an edifice of some kind.

At present, the Academy has the largest stained glass workshop in the country, with modern equipment for performing stained glass work of any complexity. The workshop’s uniqueness lies in the combination of various stained glass techniques existing today: use of stained-glass paints for sintering, multilayer sintering of glass, i.e. fusing, and bending, as well as assembly of all elements using the Tiffany technique.

Stained glass art is also taught at the Academy in supplementary education courses for children and adults.
